In Transition

Hmmmm... Venturing into blogging again chock full of new resolutions. Having finished my last job yesterday, which lasted 2 years 9 months, saying goodbye to cube mates, I know the Winds Of Change are sweeping me northward.

I don't you suppose you have heard of the constellation Ophiuchus these days, have you? How about the planet Pluto, who had been summarily demoted by the astronomical community?

I have strong feelings and unusual ideas about how the answers to these questions can help me move through my current transition, particularly through a change or inner impulse I struggle to describe.

When the ears of the students are ready to hear

There are many experiences and insights I will share with you. One of my favorite sayings is "Keep the Best, Ditch the Rest." I've been teaching Ancient Wisdom Teachings called Hermeticism for the last 6 years in my home. Almost every Tuesday evening during that time students arrived usually eager to understand the key operating principles of the Universe through Hermeticism. They sought to explore their Souls, even probe into their own Divine Nature. This year I bid them farewell and now our paths diverge. I feel a sadness.

Teacher goes back to school

With my students graduating this year I'm not sure who learned more about themselves, me or them. It is time for me to return to grad school. I start this Fall at CIIS in San Francisco. Parts of my graduate research involve the focal topics of this blog - astrology, Ophiuchus, and the Soul's evolution, and consciousness. It is risky business trying to integrate astrology into any higher educational program. I am lucky to have Dr. Richard Tarnas (Cosmos & Psyche) as one of my instructors, along with Dr. Sean Kelly (Coming Home).

While this may seem like pretty heady stuff my goal here to put it all in plain English and provide examples that tie all this back to conscious, daily living by answering questions like:

• Why do I keep seeing a particular recurring issue?
• How do I break this belief or habit?
• How much karma have I completed?
• How much of my reality am I projecting that is from past conditioning?
• How can I roto rooter out those old beliefs and past conditions to live a karma-lite life?
• What has my Soul come to experience and learn?
• Why is Ophiuchus now receiving attention after being silent for several centuries?

Who knows what I will discover in the process about my Self, my Soul, the Soul of Humanity, and the Soul of this planet. All of these answers I have been exploring through the context of astrology, Hermetics, art history, and believe it or not - calligraphy.

At a core level I know these items are all related. The joy for me is to see how the answers reveal themselves to me in order to expand the knowledge of my own Divine Nature. As I delve into the astrology I will do my best to keep the "astro-babble" insightful, the art history colorful, the Hermetics magically, and the calligraphy beautiful!
